Marko Hrushevsky’s Figure at the Turn of the Era: Historical and Cultural Concepts.

The collection of scientific works (272 p.) is the result of the fundamental scientific research of the Institute for Cultural Research of the NAA of Ukraine on the topic Categorial and methodological apparatus of cultural anthropology as an instrument for the study of cultural development.

The publication is dedicated to Marko Fedorovych Hrushevsky, Ukrainian cultural and public figure, the ethnographer-innovator, regional ethnographer, priest, one of the founders and bishop of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church. The authors analyse the social, research, and religious activities of a distinguished individual on the background of the first attempts of Ukraine to become an independent state. Due to such extraordinary personalities, there was a surge of Ukrainian spiritual and cultural development at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Marko Hrushevsky’s works influence modern Ukrainian culture as well.
