The Institute for Cultural Research of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine together with the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” in accordance with paragraph 4 of the new “Procedure of the preparation of applicants for PhD and ScD degrees in higher educational (scientific) institutions” adopted by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on March 23, 2016 No. 261, initiated the creation of an inter-institutional postgraduate study in the specialty 034 “Cultural Studies”.

This form of organization of scientific education provides an opportunity to provide high academic quality of educational and research opportunities, brings together a collegiate professional community of young experienced scientists on the basis of which it becomes possible to create unique project groups for the implementation of interdisciplinary scientific projects in the field of cultural studies.

The educational-scientific program for the PhD students’ training in the specialty 034 “Cultural Studies” is carried out by a project group formed by specialists from the Department of Cultural Studies at the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and the Institute for Cultural Research of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine.
