Collection of scientific works (320 p.)is the result of the fundamental scientific Institute for Cultural Research of the NAA of Ukraine on the topic The new socio-cultural reality in Ukraine: methodology and scientific practice of its research.

The proposed research presents the dynamics of the formation of a holistic scientific rethinking of the role and place of culture in the life of modern societies. The discourse of the culture reception in this context is a rather complicated and multifaceted process in which the new paradigm of humanitarian development unfolds. It marks real human freedom increase in achieving values determined personally and enhances the ability to artistically comprehend the polystructural nature of human being in seeking solutions to life’s challenges through building up one’s individuality. The authors emphasize the meaning of culture in shaping the attitude of the individual towards intangible assets, which makes possible to preserve the cultural and historical heritage, to access to all the diversity of cultural heritage, and to develop the creative potential of society.
