The NATIONAL ACADEMY OF ARTS OF UKRAINE invites participants to take part in the All-Ukrainian round table on the topic “CONTEMPORARY TRENDS IN MUSICAL ART.”
The round table is held annually at the initiative of the Presidium of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine by the Departments of Musical Art and the Theory and History of Arts.
The event will take place online on May 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Topics of the round table:
– Historical conditions for the development of Ukrainian musical art during the years of the Russian-Ukrainian war;
– The search for new trends and the continuation of traditional forms in the art of the contemporary musical space;
– The role and place of contemporary Ukrainian musical culture in the context of the development of world art;
– Music born of war — the new realities of today. Trends in genre and stylistic explorations of Ukrainian composers during the war;
– Performing arts and music. The influence of technology on the musical art of Ukraine: contemporary performance and compositional practices;
– Outstanding figures of Ukrainian musical culture. Cultural and artistic projects in the field of musical art;
– Compositional schools. Anniversary honorees;
– Musical performance during the years of war: problems and prospects for development under contemporary conditions. Issues of repertoire policy, as well as the organization of festivals and concerts in Ukrainian cultural institutions.
The working languages of the round table are Ukrainian and English.
Participation in the round table will be remote (via the Zoom platform). The link to the event will be posted on the official website of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine in the “News” section / “Contemporary trends in musical art” no later than one day before the event begins (May 24, 2026).
